Pin Yin: jiao qi
Symptoms:
Note: may be associated with Cold, Dampness, Damp Heat, and/or Phlegm Evils, in which cases edema of the legs occurs; if due to Dryness or Blood Vacuity, numbness of the legs is associated with withering of muscle mass without edema.
Pain: distended pain of legs.
Sensory abnormalities: numbness of legs.
Signs:
Complexion, other: edema of legs [also a characteristic of heart disease].
