 Damp Heat Crystallizing in Bladder


Pin Yin: Pang guang shi re (Heat lin or dysuria or strangury)
Symptoms:
aversion to heat; heat effusion.
dry mouth and throat; thirsty; prefers cold drinks.
urine occasionally contains sand-like crystals; urination, painful; urethral obstruction, sudden.
Pain: pain; discomfort; of lower abdomen; of pubic region; soreness or ache; of lower back (lumbar, sacral); violent stabbing pains, intermittent, in middle and lower back or groin; relieved by cold; aggravated by pressure or touch.
Signs:
Tongue Body: normal [generally].
Tongue Coat: normal [generally].
Pulse: rapid.
Pattern derived from: Damp Heat of Bladder, which in turn is derived from Interior-Heat-Repletion. The key symptoms of Damp Heat of Bladder are red type, and the additional symptoms of Damp Heat Crystallizing in Bladder are purple type.
