 Spleen Qi Sinking


Pin Yin: pi qi xia xian
Symptoms:
fatigue; spontaneous sweating ; mild intermittent heat effusion
shallow respiration.
decreased appetite.
diarrhea or loose stool.
Pain: discomfort; distension; relieved by pressure or touch; prolapse of uterus, intestines, anus, stomach, bladder; heavy, dragging pain or discomfort.
speech: quiet voice; .
Affect: withdrawn.
Signs:
Tongue Body: pale.
Tongue Coat: normal to thin.
Pulse: weak.
Complexion, other: face pale.
Pattern derived from: Spleen Qi Vacuity.

  
Herbs:

-Supplement Qi
--Regulate Qi; especially herbs like Rx Bupleuri and Rz Cimicifugae.

--Drain Dampness, Promote Urination; especially herbs like Poria that drain Dampness from Spleen Qi Vacuity.
-Transform Cold Phlegm; especially herbs like Rz Pinelliae that resolve Cold Phlegm that can be a secondary result of Spleen Qi Vacuity.
--Aromatic-transform Dampness; especially herbs like Fr seu S Amomi that activate the Spleen.

Formulas:

-- Supplement Qi (Supplement the Middle and Raise the Qi Decoction)

NOTE: Spleen Qi Sinking or Center Qi Fall is a primary cause of Damp accumulation. It is also the primary pathomechanism in the development of Yin Fire. If Heat signs are present, formulas such as Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang may be modified with cool or cold herbs.
