Actions:
   Sedates and calms Spirit; used for insomnia, palpitations, anxiety, disturbed dreams, and for seizures and convulsions in children.
   Promotes urination and invigorates Blood; used for retention of urine with painful urination and blood in urine.
   Quickens Blood and promotes menstruation; used for amenorrhea and for painful fixed abdominal masses.
   Used topically to reduce swelling and promote healing of carbuncles and skin ulcers; also for swollen painful scrotum.
