Common name: kaolin (hydrated aluminum silicate, ferric oxide)

Taste: sweet, astringent

Actions:
   Astringes Intestines and stops diarrhea; used for Vacuity Cold type diarrhea or for chronic dysentery-like disorders with mucus and blood in stools.
   Stops bleeding by astringing; used for excessive menstruation, abnormal uterine bleeding, blood in stools, and prolapsed rectum due to Vacuity Cold.
   Used topically to help chronic non-healing sores to heal.
