Actions:
   Expels water by violently inducing watery diarrhea; used for severe edema and abdominal distension.
   Warms and purges Food Accumulation associated with Interior Cold.
   Used topically as an insecticide and for warts and Cold-type furuncles.

Dosage: 0.05-0.15 qian.
Toxicity: Very irritating to skin and mucus membranes; its drastic effects in stimulating peristalsis are due to the irritating effects it has on the intestinal mucosa; effects of a single dose may last 10-15 hours.
