Bone cancer is quite common in some dogs and often quite tragic. Some researchers are enrolling dogs in cancer drug trials prior to human studies. Dogs apparently tolerate chemo much better than humans, so many of the unpleasant side effects do not occur or are minimal. This might be an option some should consider.

I am a former practitioner of Chinese Medicine. After 20 years in the field of Natural Medicine, I now primarily consider my role as one of critical examination and education. I continue to maintain a website called The Chinese Herb Academy in order to encourage rational thought on matters of medicine and to provide a historical document of this era. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's Degree in Instructional Design and Technology while I work as an Instructional Designer at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia.
